Achieving the American Dream – Maricel

“God's never early, never late, but always on time. ... God's perfect timing does two things: It grows our faith as we are forced to wait and trust in God and it makes certain that He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through. "My time is in Your hands ..." Psalm 31:15

I can’t forget that day when Ma’am Gina (I’m forever thankful) and I crossed paths through social media. During those times when I didn't know where my career would lead me then I just let fate decide, and here it goes the dream that was made into reality, to be here in the Land of Milk and Honey through the help and support of my GlobalCare family. They made everything feasible starting from the filing of petition —

Step 1 - Prevailing wage determination

Step 2 - Filing 1-140 Petition

Step 3 - National Visa Center Processing

  • NVC Checklist

  • NVC Visa fee bill

Step 4 - Immigrant Visa Interview

And when my VISA was granted, that was one of the happiest days of my life. But not everything was easy at one point in time. There were things that we prayed for but it didn’t go as planned, however, Life goes on!

Fast forward, I arrived here in New Jersey last July 8, 2021. And I would like to give my sincerest and heartfelt “thank you” to my GlobalCare family, especially to Ma’am Gina Avancena and Ma’am Mahleen Delfin for their unending care and support from my departure from Singapore until my arrival and making sure that I’m safe and sound. I've been well taken care of in every aspect since I got here in the US. Also extending my big thanks to Ms. Kate for my license endorsement and Ms. Katrina for picking me up at the Newark Airport and to Sir David for my accommodation.
